NEW SERVICES AVAILABLE TO PATRONS
RBC AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM at the new Angus Branch for grades 3-6 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This free program of fun, games, crafts, nutritional snack, computer learning, and homework help is provided by a certified teacher. Contact Holly at the Angus Branch for more information or to register your child for this drop-in program.

CHECK YOUR PULSE! Bestseller Audiobooks and e-books available to download from our website. Requires library card and internet access. Ask at the library about compatible mp3 players. (E-book downloads available to most e-readers, androids, tablets, and iPad).
A FEW THINGS WE OFFER
FREE membership for Springwater, Innisfil, and Clearview residents at Essa Public Library (bring Springwater, Innisfil, or Clearview library card). Collections include books, magazines, videos, DVD's, CD's and more! Patrons can borrow twenty items for a three week loan period (reference books - limited loan period) and/or videos for a one week loan period. VIDOEGAMES (wii, DS, PS2, PS3, Xbox360) are available for up to a three week loan. Interlibrary loan services are available for patrons.
MEMBERSHIPS AVAILABLE for residents outside of Essa Township (for a nominal charge, for six-month or annual terms).
FREE ANCESTRY.COM for Canadian, American, British, and European genealogical searches.
FREE ELECTRONIC RESOURCES available through our website from home, school, or work: Encyclopedia Britannica and Britannica for Kids, Auto Repair, Small Engine Repair, Consumer Health Complete, CultureGrams, Home Improvement, Science Reference Centre, Novelist Plus, Canadian Reference Centre, Canadian Points of View, World Book (English, French, Spanish), A-Z Maps, Global Road Warrior, Mango Languages, Learning Express, Hobbies and Crafts, Consumer Reports.org, Career Cruising, Teen Health & Wellness, Tumblebooks and Pebblego, Grizimek’s Animal Life, and more!
FREE WI-FI AND COMPUTER USE (Angus & Thornton Branches) - Bring in your own laptop and enjoy fibre-optic high speed.
FREE STORYTIME FOR CHILDREN AGES 0-6 - Stories, crafts, games and fun are available for children ages 0-6 years old in partnership with Ontario Early Years. Parents or caregrivers are required to stay with their children and participate in the program. Please contact either Angus or Thornton Branches for dates and times. Pre-registration is useful to determine what craft supplies will be needed.
FREE EVENING STORYTIME FOR YOUNG FAMILIES (Angus Branch) - Held on Mondays at 6:30 pm. Drop-in - no registration is required.
SPECIAL PROGRAMMING EVENTS such as the TD Summer Reading Club, Ontario Public Library Week, etc.SPECIAL IN-LIBRARY DISPLAYS for events such as Earth Week, National Aboriginal Day, Canada Book Day, Heritage Week, Freedom to Read Week, and Family Literacy Day.
THORNTON COMMUNITY ROOM is available for use by non-profit community groups or for cultural or educational events.
