A big thank you to all that assisted in organizing the Annual Tree Planting Day in Essa this year.  The event was a huge success and could not have been done without the volunteers and support from residents within communities near and far.  Community volunteers assisted in Angus  at LeClair Soccer Park and in Thornton at Thornton Creek Estates Park.  The volunteers planted beech trees, white pines, white cedars and white spruce trees.  Fun was had by all!

The Grand Opening of the Pine River Trail was a great success thanks to the dedication of students, residents, businesses and Staff of Essa Township.  The rain certainly didn't dampen the spirits of the approximate 75 people that showed up to enjoy the ribbon cutting ceremony.

As can be seen, Council has been busy this month with breaking ground for the new Excelland Subdivision.  These pictures show Council members participating in the kick-off ceremony.
