​​​​​​​Effective April 3, 2021 access to the Administration Centre will be restricted to staff only, however all services are still being offered to our residents​ during the Provincial Shutdown.  Members of the public are encouraged to reach out to staff by phone or email, and to use online options as much as possible.  Payments can be deposited​ into the Drop Boxes located on the upper and lower levels, or by using our online payment system​ durin​g this time.  For further assistance, please call our office at 705-424-9917.

  • ​On December 16, 2020 Essa Township Council approved the Township of Essa Drinking Water System Financial Plan by way of Resolution CW164-2020.  The Plan is available for the public to review at no cost on our website or a hard copy is available for review on the lower level of the Adminstration Centre.

  • ​At its meeting of March 24, 2021, Council received the 2021 Periodic Report from its Integrity Commissioner.  In accordance with the Municipal Act, this Report is available for public viewing by clicking the link above.

  • ​TAKE NOTICE THAT a virtual public meeting is scheduled to take place on April 21, 2021 at 6:00 pm to consider proposed Official Plan Amendment (OPA 38) and Zoning By-law Amendment (Z2/21).  


    Any person may participate in the meeting or make written or verbal representation in support of, or in opposition to the the proposed amendment(s).  Contact the Township Planner at 705-424-9770 ext. 104 to pre-register your participation by the deadline of April 16, 2021.


  • TAKE NOTICE THAT a virtual public meeting is scheduled to take place on May 5, 2021 at approximately 6:00 p.m. to consider a Zoning By-law Amendment (Z4/21) and a Draft Plan of Subdivision on lands located at 68 Gold Park Gate.


    Any person may participate in the virtual meeting​ or make written or verbal representation in support of, or in opposition to the proposed application.  Contact the Township Planner at 705-424-9770 ext. 104 to pre-register your participation by the deadline of April 30, 2021.

  • ​TAKE NOTICE THAT a virtual Public Meeting is schedule to take place at approximately 6:00 p.m. on May 5, 2021.  The purpose of the virtual public meeting is to collect comments in regards to a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment concerning lands located at 203 Barrie Street (Thornton).

    Please be advised that members of the public may participate in the virtual meeting​ or make written or verbal representation in support of, or in opposition to the proposed application.  Contact the Township Planner at 705-424-9770 ext. 104 to pre-register your participation by the deadline of April 30, 2021.

    In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Committee of the Whole and Council Meetings will be livestreamed for the public to watch as the meeting is occurring.
