  • TAKE NOTICE ​that the Township of Essa will hold a Public Meeting on the 20th Day of March 2019, at 6:00pm at the Essa Administration Centre - 5786 County Road 21, Utopia to introduce a proposed Amendment to the Official Plan (OPA 30), Zoning By-law (Z5/18) and Business Licening By-law to allow for a wedding barn facility for weddings to take place between May and November of each year.

  • TAKE NOTICE ​that the Township of Essa will hold a Public Meeting on the 20th Day of March 2019, at 6:00pm at the Essa Administration Centre - 5786 County Road 21, Utopia to introduce a proposed Amendment to the Zoning By-law (Z3/19 and Z6/18) and future Official Plan Amendment (OPA 33) affecting the properties known as, 8014 9th Line and 5616 County Road 27.

  • TAKE NOTICE ​that the Township of Essa will hold a Public Meeting on the 3rd Day of April 2019, at 6:00pm at the Essa Administration Centre - 5786 County Road 21, Utopia to introduce a proposed Amendment to the Zoning By-law (Z8/18) affecting the property known as, 7546 County Road 27, Thornton.

  • ​​​TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Essa will hold a Public meeting on the 17th day of April, 2019, at apporximatley 6:00 p.m. at the Administration Centre located 5786 County Rd 21, Utopia to introduce a proposed Amendment to the Zoning By-law affecting propoerties throughout the Township of Essa.​​

  • The next regularly scheduled meeting of Council will be held in Council Chambers on March 20, 2019 starting at 6:00 p.m.

  • The Township of Essa has a new burning by-law that allows for recreational/camp fire, open air burning and open air burning with an inspection.

    No person(s) or owners(s) of land shall set a fire or permit the setting of a fire without first having obtained an authorized burn permit.  Burning must be in accordance with the Open Air Burning By-law 2015-92 or subsequent by law.   A permit shall not be issued in a settlement area with clearance of less than 15 feet/5 metre from any structure.

    Permit is valid until the end of each calendar year at a cost of $25.00.  Burn Permits (except for those that require an inspection) can be obtained on-line by going to on-line registration.   Permits can also be obtained from the Township Administration Centre, upstairs, during regular business hours.
