Essa Public Library Board
Essa's Public Library Board is established under the authority of the Public Libraries Act to provide programs and services to meet the educational,
informational, cultural, recreational and leisure needs of all individuals and
organizations within the community, to promote the library within the community
and to actively encourage the widest possible use of its services and facilities
and to seek continually to identify and evaluate community needs and to provide
materials, programs and services to meet such needs.
The Library Board is comprised of seven volunteers from the community, one member
of Council and the CEO/Chief Librarian. The Board meets on the fourth Monday of
each month, 10 times a year. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. and are approximately 2
hours in length.
