The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the overall maintenance of parks and facilities within our municipal boundaries, as well as the delivery of recreational programs/opportunities for those in our communities.
Essa Township is home to 6 Ball Diamonds for players of all ages and skill levels. With 4 well maintained Soccer Pitches, Essa provides ample opportunities for athletes and families to get out and play. For those who like to be out on the water and Fish Essa provides access to the Nottawasaga River at our 4 Municipally owned Fishing Parks. With over 18 playgrounds and 26 parks Essa provides plenty of spaces for the community to get out and get active.
