COVID-19 Park Closures
Please be advised that all playground and exercise equipment is closed to the public as a result of Provincial Orders during the COVID-19 State of Emergency.
The Township of Essa has 26 park locations throughout the municipality for residents and visitors to enjoy, plus an "Off-the-Leash" dog park (located at Glen Eton/Wildflower Park-42 McCarthy Crescent).
park accommodates different recreational activities including playgrounds,
adult exercise equipment, camping and passive park facilities, splash pads, an off the leash dog park, tennis courts, basketball facilities,
soccer fields, baseball facilities, outdoor pads, as well as public and
Baseball players of all ages enjoy six municipally owned ball diamonds and access to five private playing fields. Two baseball diamonds are lit for night play action. As well, four soccer pitches are used by the growing number of soccer enthusiasts in the Township.
In addition to
enjoying the recreational activities in our parks, there are picnic tables for
residents to utilize.
When using our
parks, remember that it is important for everyone to pitch in and help to
preserve our parks by making sure that garbage is disposed of properly and
making sure you pick up after your dogs.
