The Township of Essa has 26 park locations throughout the municipality for residents and visitors to enjoy, plus an "Off-the-Leash" dog park (located at Glen Eton/Wildflower Park-42 McCarthy Crescent).

Each park accommodates different recreational activities including playgrounds, adult exercise equipment, camping and passive park facilities, splash pads, an off the leash dog park, tennis courts, basketball facilities, soccer fields, baseball facilities, outdoor pads, as well as public and seasonal washrooms.
Baseball players of all ages enjoy six municipally owned ball diamonds and access to five private playing fields.  Two baseball diamonds are lit for night play action.  As well, four soccer pitches are used by the growing number of soccer enthusiasts in the Township.

In addition to enjoying the recreational activities in our parks, there are picnic tables for residents to utilize. When using our parks, remember that it is important for everyone to pitch in and help to preserve our parks by making sure that garbage is disposed of properly and making sure you pick up after your dogs.

If you notice that our parks have been vandalized or require maintenance, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department by calling 705-424-9917 ext 141, or by e-mailing jcoleman@essatownship.on.ca or by visiting their office at the Administration Centre (located at 5786 County Road 21, Utopia).
