The
Township of Essa does not remove wildlife from private property. Pests such as raccoons, skunks, foxes and any
other wild animal found on private property should be removed with the
assistance of a pest control specialist or a Wildlife Rehabilitator.

What to do if you find a sick, injured or abandoned wild animal
If you find sick, injured or abandoned wild animal, you are encouraged to visit the Ministry of Natural Resources website and follow their advice on what to do.

Wild animals can be dangerous and should be avoided, however if you or
your pet has come into contact with a wild animal that you suspect has rabies
please seek medical attention and contact the Simcoe Muskoka District Health
