NOTICE OF PASSING - ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Essa passed By-law No. 2022-49 on the 7th day of September, 2022, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13.
AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or public body who made written or oral submissions at the public meeting may appeal to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) in respect of the Zoning By-law by filing with the Clerk of the Corporation of the Township of Essa, not later than the 3rd day of October, 2022, a Notice of Appeal setting out the objection to the Zoning By-law Amendment, the reasons in support of the objection and the prescribed fee of $300.00. Each appeal must be accompanied by a cheque made payable to the Minister of Finance. Only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a Zoning By-law to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal. Notice of Appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a Notice of Appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or group. If the last date for filing an appeal falls on a Saturday, Sunday or statutory holiday, appeals will be accepted on the next working day. Note that every appellant must explain and demonstrate how the adopted Zoning By-law Amendment is inconsistent with a Provincial Policy, fails to conform with or conflicts with a Provincial Plan or fails to conform with an Official Plan.
THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT of By-law No. 2022-49 would rezone lands from Open Space Park (OSP) Zone to Open Space Park Exception Two (OSP-2) Zone to allow for a school in addition to park uses.
