Please ensure that all required documents are submitted (ie: cover letter, resume, copies of credentials).

Candidates selected for interviews will be contacted directly by the Township of Essa to set up an interview date and time.

The Township of Essa is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection processes.  If contacted for an interview, please inform us if you require an  accommodation.

Due to the volume of applications received, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Some jobs may require testing to evaluate skill performance related to the position.  You will be notified of any job testing requirements when you are contacted for your interview.

The Township will contact the successful candidate to obtain consent to complete reference checks.

Following satisfactory reference checks, the Township will provide a formal offer of employment to the successful candidate.  Please note that some offers may still be conditional upon the following:

  • satisfactory driver's abstract
  • proof of valid driver's license
  • satisfactory police record check

It is important that you review your written offer of employment, and reach out to your Department Head to ask questions prior to signing.

Once you have accepted the offer of employment, you will receive instructions to complete onboarding documents.  Please be sure to complete and submit these onboarding documents to the municipal office.  Your Manager and/or Supervisor will advise on your start date, and provide you with additional details for your first week.
