Essa Public Library
It’s not too late to get in on the Summer Reading fun for all ages. Kids ages 6-12 can earn brag tags for time spent reading, or teens ages 13-19 can take part in the 100 Chapters Challenge. Personalized book bundles are available by request for teens and adults at both Angus and Thornton Branches.
Plus, Simcoe Reads is BACK with an exciting lineup of titles for adults to read all summer long before voting on your favourite at the final debate this fall. 8 libraries. 8 books. But there can only be 1 winner.

Dog licensing helps ensure lost pets can be quickly reunited with their owners and helps avoid unnecessary pound fees.
Dog tags are available online, in person, or by mail.
After Hours Canine Control
- After-Hours Canine Control services operate during evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- If you have found a dog running at large, Please Contact: Ontario Animal Control at 705-229-9171
Please note: This service is for canines only. Calls related to cats or wildlife will not be responded to through this service.

Dogs are only permitted off leash in designated off-leash dog parks!
