Road Permits

An Entrance Permit is required for any access point (e.g., driveway or laneway) connecting to a municipal road.

Apply online through the Entrance Permit E-Commerce Application. For other formats or assistance, please contact the Public Works Department at 705-424-9917 ext. 103.

For County Roads, call 705-726-9300 ext. 250. For Highway 89, contact the Ministry of Transportation at 519-376-7350.

A Heavy Load Permit is required for moving heavy or oversized loads on municipal roads.

Apply and pay online using the Heavy Load Permit E-Commerce Application. Permits are issued after payment is received. For a PDF version or more information, contact the Public Works Department at 705-424-9917 ext. 103.

A Road Occupancy Permit is required for work such as installing enclosed drains in ditches or connecting to municipal water or sewer lines.

Apply online through the Road Occupancy E-Commerce Application. For a PDF version or more information, contact the Public Works Department at 705-424-9917 ext. 114.

Apply online by completing the 9-1-1 Sign Permit Application and submitting payment through our portal. Payment is required before approval. Cash payments must be made in person at the Administration Centre.
