Hat Trick for Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation
Essa, ON - Monday, March 23, 2026 - The community is invited to cheer on local leaders and supporters at the Hat Trick for Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre. Game time is 1:00 p.m. and tickets are just $10. All proceeds will go directly to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) in support of the hospital’s commitment to providing top‑tier healthcare to our growing community.
This friendly, family‑focused hockey game will feature community teams, including members of our Emergency Services team, and special guests—all hitting the ice to raise funds and awareness for the vital programs, equipment, and infrastructure that help keep care close to home.
“Events like this reflect the strength of our community and what we can accomplish when we come together,” said New Tecumseth Mayor Richard Norcross. “With our hospital at the heart of the game, we are all winners.”
“From rink side to bedside, proximity matters. That’s why our three municipalities – Adjala‑Tosorontio, Essa and New Tecumseth are skating shoulder‑to‑shoulder to keep the Stevenson Memorial Hospital redevelopment on a clear breakaway,” said Township of Adjala-Tosorontio Mayor Scott W. Anderson. “Behind our community’s generosity, we’re turning spirit into modern spaces, upgraded equipment, and faster access to care. Let’s keep the momentum going and keep care close to home for Adjala‑Tosorontio and our neighbours.”
“Three Municipalities Essa, Adjala Tosorontio, and New Tecumseth United - raising funds for Stevenson Memorial Hospital redevelopment for improved health care for all our residents,” said Township of Essa Mayor Sandie Macdonald.
“Seeing members of Adjala-Tosorontio, Essa and New Tecumseth skate together for this event is a powerful testament to the unique community spirit that makes our municipalities so vibrant,” said Dr. Ted Vandevis, CEO, Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation. “This 'Hat Trick' of support is exactly what fuels our ability to provide top-tier healthcare and modern facilities for every resident in our growing community.”
