Road Reconstruction Alert – Simcoe St & Raglan St, Angus

Please be advised that the Township of Essa has recently awarded the Simcoe Street and Raglan Street Reconstruction project in Angus to Arnott Construction. The project limits include Simcoe Street between the west dead end and the east dead end, and Raglan Street from King Street to Simcoe Street as well as some ditch work on Water Street.

The scope of work includes the following:

Urbanization of Simcoe Street and Raglan Street with new concrete curb and gutter, 1.8m wide concrete sidewalk, new storm sewer, and new asphalt roadway. Traffic calming measures will also be incorporated into the project including lane narrowing and raised intersections at Raglan Street, Vernon Street, and Auburn Street.
