The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the overall maintenance of parks and facilities within our municipal boundaries, as well as the delivery of recreational programs/opportunities for those in our communities.
R-Zone Policy
The Township of Essa is committed to fostering an environment where there is:

- respect for others
- responsibility for your actions
The Township discourages any form of inappropriate behaviour in all municipally run programs, municipal facilities, parks and trails, or at any other location where municipal staff are present. This includes verbal or written communications.
As such, the municipality approved an R-Zone Policy to assist in promoting a positive, safe and supportive environment for all members of the public and staff. This policy encourages respect, commitment and considerate relationships between the municipality and members of the public.

Vandalism in our Parks and Facilities
If you notice that our parks, facilities or sport fields have been vandalized or require maintenance, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department.
